Experienced CAM Programmers

Advanced Tooling Specialists is looking to hire Experienced CAM Programmers, with premium wages being offered for individuals with top skills and experience.  We are seeking career minded and driven individuals that will work well in a team oriented environment.  The CAM Programmer is responsible for translating and converting print dimensional specification to CNC code to ensure optimal product quality and performance.  Other duties include, analyzing operational data submitted by engineers, shop floor personnel, and / or customers as it applies to automated equipment operation.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop manufacturing processes and CNC programming to optimize manufacturing times including cycle and processes.
• Implement cost reduction by working closely with engineering, quality and manufacturing to reduce scrap and waste

• Make recommendations relative to corrections, modifications, improvements, etc. regarding the accuracy of programs

• Prepare tooling and layout sheets for machine operators to setup jobs

• Participate in the resolution of corrective and preventive action reports to ensure product quality and scrap reduction
• Design and assist in the manufacturing of fixtures and tooling
• Determine equipment needs and create cost justification
• Assist in equipment validation

Requirements:

• Knowledge of CAD/CAM for designing and manufacturing
• MASTERCAM X4 or later (2D and 3D) experience, CAMWORKS experience is a plus
• Experience in manufacturing operations with emphasis on multi-axis milling
• Driven to resolve problems systematically and methodically
• Associate’s degree or the equivalent of in related field
• Minimum of five years experience as a CNC programmer in a machine shop environment
